FANATICISM is to be avoided in all religions,
but within most, There is a narrow way that suits
best. When many have this way in their hearts,
whatever their condition or religion, great moral
progress illuminates the world.

I remember Hugh Nibley, one of the brightest stars
to shine upon the earth, say that he rejoiced to read
in Ancient manuscripts, to learn of the many teachers
who taught the teachings revealed on the Mount.
The Lord loves us and loathes to see any walking
in darkness. this reminds me of my favorite hymn
brought to the great mountain valleys of the
American West by Anglican converts

''Lead kindly light amidst the encircling gloom,
Lead thou me on . . .''

Many, like the early Christians, are mere teachers
of the Word. Because they are born into times
of great darkness, many, like the woman scholar
Autumn, who was given no time for a longer
testament, wrote her gallows poem,

''Autumn wind brings the death of sorrow.''

Xenophobia is the basis of much war and many
hate crimes and Genocides far back into pre-history.
This have never illuminated any heart.

''An it harm none, do as thou wilt.''

Blessed be.
